"I don't want to die the same day Castro dies."

A light of civilization goes out whenever a humorist dies. That's awkwardly put, but I have no artful words for the death of fellow Marine and humorist Art Buchwald, who has died of kidney failure.

Read the WashPost column. Find out about Buchwald's career as a wine taster for the Marine Corps. Better yet, find some Buchwald and read that.

Wine taster for the Marine Corps. That's just impeccably funny.

Art Buchwald 1925 -- 2007. RIP.

Artie did "get 'r done" did he not?

Hey Ceely, I'm tryin' to focus... It'll probably take another twelve months or so... Unfortunately for me.

At any rate... the worm turns, and I am fervently trying to adjust myself back into some sort of "formality."

I'm not saying that it'll be instantaneous, but it'll be eventual.

After sleeping under bridges for a few years, "normality" seems a hard outreach. I just wish that I could've accomplished a return quicker... but it was not meant to be.

AT any rate...
